Nestled into the trees, a few steps from the lochside, is Coorie – an award winning, architecturally stunning, contemporary two bedroom luxury holiday lodge.

Clad in black timber, the sculptural form is visually striking but equally at home in its landscape and surroundings. Designed by our pals at Cameron Webster Architects and built by our sister company nest, this luxury accommodation has been designed to enjoy and immerse yourself in the panoramic views.

The upside-down home was created to maximise the views of the surrounding hills and lochs from the living spaces, creating the feeling of living within the trees whilst the lower floor was designed to accommodate the bedrooms to be more intimate and cosy.

This is a place to slow down in, spaces that have been designed to feel comfortable and welcoming and also to be social and embrace the joy of celebration with friends and family. The restrained approach ensures the connection between the house and the nature outside.

This luxury self catering holiday lodge with hot tub is set within its own garden. The driveway has parking for two cars and has an EV charger.

At ground level, you’re welcomed by a spacious hallway with hanging space for coats and walking boots.

There are two cosy bedrooms – bedroom 1 has a double bed and en-suite with shower, bedroom 2 is a twin with two single beds across from a bathroom with shower.

A spacious stairway leads to a spectacular open plan room with living / dining / kitchen areas providing self catering. Snuggle up in the large living room area and get toasty in front of the wood burning stove and watch the weather approach through the large panoramic windows. There’s a well-equipped kitchen with induction hob, washing machine, dishwasher and dining table to seat four, with a cosy window seat to the ever-present stunning lochside views.

Stretch out on our large comfy sofa, nestle into one of the armchairs or sink into the giant beanbag to watch a movie on the large screen TV with a bag of popcorn.

Panoramic patio doors lead from the lounge to a covered balcony which projects elegantly from the main house and is angled to take in the amazing mountain views. With seating for four, so you can sit out regardless of what the weather is doing, you can enjoy the amazing views over Loch Venachar towards Ben Venue.

The front garden leads down to direct access to a lochside beach with outstanding views across the loch and the surrounding Menteith hills with Ben Venue and Ben Ledi in the distance. 

The back garden has a tranquil hot tub, pétanque court and seating area where you can relax and bathe in natural surroundings and enjoy the endless stars. There is ample room to rig your SUP, windsurfing rigs or wash your bikes in our garden.

Coorie is next to the award-winning wedding and events venue, Venachar Lochside. You might also be lucky to see a bride and groom celebrating their special day.
